Dear Valued Customer,

We want to update you on the latest developments in the CN Rail negotiations.

A recent vote by Unifor members at Canadian National Railway (CN Rail) has resulted in the approval of a strike mandate.

CN Rail Strike Mandate

With 96% of Local 100 members and 97% of Council 4000 members voting in favor, the union is prepared to take action if an agreement is not reached by January 1, 2025.

The strike mandate stems from ongoing negotiations between Unifor and CN Rail, which began in September. Negotiations will resume in Montreal from November 25 to December 8. The union represents over 5,600 CN Rail workers, including mechanics, technicians, clerks, and customer support staff.
